From 26–30 October 2025, the 42nd National ANPEd Meeting, combined with the WERA Focal Meeting, took place in João Pessoa, Brazil, bringing together over 4,000 participants – researchers and students from Brazil and around the world.
The EARLY-ASD project team took part in this international event, presenting research outcomes and innovations that support young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and promote inclusive education.
Representatives of the consortium shared results from the Erasmus+ project EARLY-ASD – Upskilling Pre-Service Teachers to Support Young Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder through Digital Social Stories (Project No. 2024-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000246304),
during the invited WERA Symposium: Assistive Technologies in Teachers’ Work with Children with ASD (30 October 2025 | 14:30–16:00).
The symposium, organized within the EARLY-ASD project, focused on the use of assistive technologies in teachers’ work with children on the autism spectrum and featured three presentations:

The participation of the EARLY-ASD team in WERA 2025 marks an important step in strengthening international academic collaboration and disseminating the results of the EARLY-ASD project – enhancing teachers’ competencies in supporting children with ASD through innovative, digital, and inclusive approaches.
